PROJECT BRIDGE COLORADO

A total of 57 postdoctoral scholars from Colorado research institutions assembled at the Colorado State Capitol on January 19 to share their research with Colorado state legislators as part of Early Career Scientists Day. In support of the event, Governor John Hickenlooper signed an official proclamation naming January 19, 2018, as “Early Career Scientist Day.”

CU SCIENCE DISCOVERY

CU Science Discovery trains scientists of all disciplines and skill levels to communicate their research to public audiences. Brian served as a CU Science Ambassador and designed hands-on activities and presented them at public events.

BIOMATERIALS SCIENCE BLOG

Brian has written for the Biomaterials Science Blog, where he has summarized peer reviewed literature published in the journal to a lay audience. 

COMSCICON

Brian co-founded ComSciCon-Chicago in 2015 after participating in the national ComSciCon annual meeting in 2014. ComSciCon is a series of workshops designed to help graduate students refine their oral and written communication skills in the sciences.
